The video cameras are rolling on Superstar Wars: Episode VIII, an undeniable fact we know because of director Rian Johnson's video tutorial from the first evening of production. And, as some had previously surmised from the positioning of that video, it appears that the brand new film picks straight from where in fact the Force Awakens left away up, an initial for the franchise, at least relating to Rey herself, Daisy Ridley.
As a presenter at the Oscars this weekend, Ridley walked the reddish carpet and, without doubt mindful of the watchful, lethal gaze of BB-8 from somewhere else at the function possibly, let slip a bit about the film to MTV information. "Me and Tag [Hamill] have already been rehearsing a whole lot, and it’s genuinely amazing,” Ridley says. “Whenever we returned to Skellig to accomplish the opening of Event VIII, it was thus crazy undertaking the same picture with a distinct crew of individuals. He’s amazing to rehearse with, and I’m incredibly excited to be performing all of those other stuff.”
Just what exactly can she reveal about the film, which Johnson wrote also? “It’s such an excellent story. Seriously. Luke is indeed cool in that one. Really.” Very well, he'd better become, after (spoiler alert for both persons reading this who've yet to start to see the Force Awakens) skulking round on that island for almost all of the previous film.
We'll need to wait to determine how cool he's in that one, as Episode VIII (creation code brand: Space Bear) isn't away until December 15, 2017. Nevertheless, you can get your Superstar Wars correct with Rogue One, due this 16 December.
